The theme for the World Expo 2010, Shanghai, was on the importance of sustainable development within today's ballooning urban centers. And Singapore's own sustainable story lends itself pertinently to the subject.

Like many of its contemporary doubles, circa 1965 Singapore was caught between a rapidly rising population and limited land space. The short film, "City Made from the Sky" explores Singapore's brand of sustainable development. How it evolved from a means to survive to a constant balancing act between development and environment today.

The film is narrated by the very architect who drafted the blueprint for Singapore's unique brand of sustainable development, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.
