Synopsis

Afterimages is an anthology of five horror tales about a group of artists who burned effigies of cameras for the dead, and received films in return.

The first film, Ghost Pool Leg, revolves around an Aussie voyeur, and the Chinese superstition in which it is believed that ghosts pull swimmers' legs to drown them.

The next film, Xiao Bao Bao, focuses on a young woman's haunting experience after taking a postmorterm photograph of a suicide jumper.

Next in the anthology is Skin Deep, following a group of tourists' encounter being stuck in an elevator with a mysterious beautiful woman, who holds a terrible secret.

The fourth film, Rekindling, is a gruesome tale that encompasses a heartbroken hawker, a missing China bride, a mysterious ring and a sudden popular dish called 'lady's finger'. Lastly, Burnt Offerings promises to be the most horrifying and dangerous tale for the group of artists receiving the films, because this last film is personal.
